STYLING WORKSHOP.

This workshop was intriguing and was helpful in terms of figuring out which camera angles and shots worked best in different types of locations with different lighting. This workshop allowed everyone to bring in ten garments to style with and then take several photos, to gain an understanding of how the camera we will be using for the film would be like and work. I modelled in various locations; the lift, University corridors and we also took a few which look more professional with box lights and a white backdrop in the studio. The photos above I think turned out okay with the resources which we had, the lighting in the lift is different, and the shadows help to define the photograph.

The photo's below are the more professional looking ones, these have also been editing slightly to enhance the blue filter that we put over one of the box lights and cropped so the white background is the only backdrop. I also think some of these images below can represent northern soul, the carefree makeup, as well as the flowy, glittery dress, something that is easy to move around in which would have been ideal for Northern Soul Dance nights. As well as the mirrored box and blue strobe-like lighting enhancing the dance and disco part of the photoshoot.
