OUR NORTHERN SOUL CONCEPT

Northern Soul Concept Established.

We as a group, came up which a concept which described Northern Soul in a way which we think it has been interpreted.

"The celebration of cultures coming together creating a huge sense of escapism within the community. The freedom Northern Soul holds helps the people to forget about the negativity in the world and instead they immerse themselves in the feel-good music and the crazy, care-free dance."

We mainly gathered that Northern Soul focussed on the community, people coming together from different cultures, creating a new feel-good community. Keeping this in mind we wanted our video, gif and final images to reflect, the feel-free community aspects, no matter the background or culture the people involved have came from. 

My mood boards, strategy and research will constantly reflect this concept, keeping the theme clear and evident throughout the module. 

The slogan for Northern Soul 'Keep the Faith' I feel reflects our concept well. This will also be an evident part throughout all the research. Having faith within the community, being a part of something you truly believe in.
